Sonnets without words
This is my second disc with UHR and was released in 2009. It explores the piano sonata over the last century or so. I took Berg’s Opus 1 as my starting point and chose other similarly brief and intriguing works to go with it. I commissioned a sonata from Tim Jackson especially for the project, with funds from UHR.
