Having performed together in various chamber music collaborations over many years—including recitals at Wigmore Hall—these three distinguished musicians have now come together as the Wren Piano Trio. The trio draws on extensive experience as soloists and chamber musicians, combining technical assurance with expressive depth and musical spontaneity. Their performances have been praised for their “unfazed expertise” (Classical Source), “assiduous clarity, lyrical poise” and “dashing” playing (The Times). Recent engagements include performances across the UK and at the Fête Musicale de la Forêt in Argonne, France.
Leader of the BBC Concert Orchestra, Nathaniel Anderson-Frank’s playing has been praised for its “suaveness and depth of tone” (The Arts Desk). He is frequently featured as soloist with the Concert Orchestra and was previously a member of the prize-winning Piatti Quartet. Noted for her “infectious passion” (Ottawa Citizen), Ella Rundle is an accomplished soloist and chamber musician. A member of the Philharmonia Orchestra, she regularly plays as guest principal with leading UK orchestras. Richard Uttley has given solo and chamber recitals at many of the most prestigious venues and festivals internationally, and is a piano professor at the Royal College of Music in London.
